The Stocks and Options Traders

Before the collapse of the stock market in 2000 I was a buy and hold investor. Mind you, I have made 3 to 4 times of my investment that time. Then the sell off came some time on April 2000.

Thinking that it was just a sell off because of profit taking, I stayed and hold. But that year the collapse continued until sometime in Oct 2002.

Believe me, I lost all my investment including my starting capital. Because I was on margin. I have to go on selling just to close my margin call.

I stop trading after that bad experience and never to go back trading again. But sometime in the first quarter of 2003, I noticed that the Nasdaq index is picking up.

I replenish my account and start trading again. But this time I am more on a day or swing trader type of trader. This time I don't intend to be a buy and hold investor.
